Nesco Resource is seeking a Laboratory QC Systems Specialist for our manufacturing client! This is an open-ended temporary position with potential to become permanent, and a great opportunity to work in a position requiring both hands on laboratory functions and technical documentation/analysis.
  • Processing, tracking and modifying product specification request form revision and issuance
  • Translating testing information from company to customer
  • Assisting as required with database and customer complaint processes
  • Regulating the quality page, revising quality SOPs, calibrations and test methods to ensure they are current and accurate
  • Conducting and managing Standard Reporting Systems (SRS) reports for the Quality lab and interpret findings to manager
  • Developing and governing document filing system for quality metric data, investigations, calibrations etc.
  • Ordering lab and chemical supplies with the addition of inputting maintenance work orders.
  • Guiding auditors, both internal and external, to appropriate documentation promptly to help facilitate audit efficiency
  • Properly disposing of samples and test reagents per policies and procedures
  • Conducting inspections and be knowledgeable in handling hazardous materials
  • Maintaining familiarity with all new and existing chemicals per training requirements
  • Performing all lab calibrations independently and monitoring and maintaining instrument records and contacting manufacturer if necessary
  • Properly labeling interplant samples, and arrange for their transportation
  • Analyzing finished products
  • Maintaining accurate records of all QC tests performed both in the laboratory notebooks
  • Reporting any instances of product non-conformance in a clear and timely manner.
Requirements:
  • High level of competency with computers, including Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Word and PowerPoint
  • Possess excellent communication skills, both orally and written
  • Must be comfortable working in a chemical lab setting
  • Associate Degree in Chemistry or related field preferred
  • Must possess proficient technical math and laboratory skills
