Local manufacturing company is current seeking a Pipe Welder for an immediate opportunity. Overtime available. A pre-employment drug test and background check will be required before employment begins. 

Job duties to include:
  • Pipe and plate welding.
  • Fabrication and installation of steel pipes and fittings.
  • Reading and interpreting blueprints, CAD drawings, schematics, work orders, and verbal instructions from the engineering team. 
  • Detecting and reporting any faulty operation of equipment.
Qualifications for this position:
  • Able to weld components in flat, vertical, and/or overhead positions. 
  • Able to operate manual and semi-automatic welding equipment to fuse metal segments.
  • Familiar with GMAW, GTAW/TIG, SAW, and SMAW procedures.
  • Able to set up and operate hand tools and power tools used in welding procedures. 
  • Familiar with ASME codes.
  • Possessing a HS Diploma or equivalent. Vo-tech or welding school training strongly preferred.
  • Previous experience working in a machine shop or manufacturing company is strongly preferred.
Physical environment: 
 
While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be exposed to hot and humid conditions, fumes or airborne particles typical for painting environments. The noise level within the immediate work environment is not excessive but ear protection within all production areas is provided. While performing the duties of this job the employee is frequently required to reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch, and walk. The employee is frequently required to stand, walk, sit, use hands to finger, handle or feel, climb or balance. These activities may occur at any time of the shift. The employee must occasionally lift and or move up to 50 pounds. Assistance may be requested when lifting heavy objects.
