Software Engineer - GUI development

Our client's Healthcare Optics Research Laboratory is currently seeking a Software Engineer to develop GUIs for medical optical imaging systems. This Engineer will operate in an agile environment, developing as part of a team on cutting edge innovative products.

Key Responsibilities:
• Develop GUIs according to design specification.
• Develop unit tests to test code implementation.
• Develop application testing plans and assists with the testing process.
• Assists with system integration tests and execution.
• Create and utilize design patterns and frameworks as part of an overall software architecture blueprint.
• Work with a multidisciplinary team of engineers and scientists to coordinate daily activities and goals.

Work experience
• 3-4+ years' experience with object oriented programming languages
• 2+ years understanding and usage of MVVM design pattern
• 2+ years' experience performance testing, monitoring, troubleshooting deployed applications
• 2+ year experience developing highly scalable data-driven applications with user interactions

Qualifications:
• Minimum requirements: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent
• Strong responsive GUI design skills using WPF and Xaml for resolution variations, orientation management and size handling.
• Working knowledge of image data visualization.
• Knowledge of IEC 62304 – medical device software – software life cycle processes a big plus.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills with the ability to communicate clearly to others in different functions, at various levels.
