Quality Assurance Technician needed for an immediate contract-to-hire opportunity with our client in the Middleborough MA area. Candidates interested should have 5 years of experience working in the electronic manufacturing industry and a strong understanding of AS9100 or ISO 9001 QMS, Statistical Process Control and the ability to read printed circuit board and/or wiring and assembly documentation. SUMMARY Ensure that all company products (manufactured in-house or by an external supplier), conform to intended design and, when applicable, that customer and/or regulatory requirements are satisfied. The incumbent may be assigned specific customers and is expected to understand and interpret flow down requirements.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Perform these duties as assigned in accordance with ISO9001/AS9100 procedures and quality standards. Provide technical leadership of diverse engineering disciplines, project planning, and provide technical solutions to customer requirements including, but not limited to, ITAR/EAR/EAR99 classifications, communication for customer configurations, and ultimate program execution following contract award ensuring 100% compliance with the Departments of State and Commerce. Will also participate in ongoing team meetings to identify requirements, specifications, export classifications, timelines and customer expectations.
  • Inspect product at all stages of the manufacturing cycle (incoming, in-process and final).
  • Review incoming certifications from outside processors.
  • Perform 1st article inspections (visual, receiving, in-process, and final dimensional inspections) in accordance with company and customer requirements.
  • Initiate / Review and approve fixed process and inspection plans.
  • Create and organize quality documentation in accordance with customer and/or regulatory requirements for submittal to the customer / regulatory body.
  • Communicate with and support all areas of production.
  • Create in-house Detailed Inspection Plans and perform detailed inspection of finished product.
  • Investigate quality issues and provide feedback to the Director of Quality.
  • Perform and document in-house and supplier audits as required.
  • Constant review and thorough understanding of customer and/or regulatory requirements.
  • Perform Root cause investigations. Identify and remediate all non-conformances while following all company and customer guidelines and requirements.
  • MRB-Initiate and participate in MRB activities ensuring all company and customer requirements are being met.
  • Follow prescribed safety rules and company policies at all times.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: High school (voc/technical school) education with a minimum of five years working experience in Quality Assurance within an electronics manufacturing environment. Thorough understanding of AS9100 or ISO 9001 QMS, Statistical Process Control and the ability to read printed circuit board and/or wiring and assembly documentation. Experience in an electronic manufacturing company.

COMPUTER SKILLS: Must have proficient PC skills (Word, Excel, Access and Outlook).

LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS: ASQ Quality Inspector certification preferred.IPC-610,620,J-STD-001 certifications a plus.
