The Class A Diesel Mechanic is a 2nd shift, full-time position with transition ultimately to 1st shift.

Job Duties:
  • Preventive Maintenance & Diagnostic Troubleshooting on buses and fleet vehicles
  • Diagnostic & Heavy Duty Mechanical repair work on: Cummins, Detroit, Allison, Meritor/Wabco-- Engines ,Transmissions, and Axles
  • Troubleshooting & Diagnostics repair on transit vehicle operating systems
  • Body work/Welding, Metal working
  • Mobile HVAC Diagnostics and repairs-Appropriate license required or be able to obtain
  • Troubleshooting and repair of facility equipment not limited to; Bus wash, Tire Carousel, Stax Storage, Vac System, Graco fluid delivery, CNG station and in-house fueling equipment
  • PA State Safety Inspections of Buses - requires a valid PA State Inspection License of appropriate class or be able to obtain
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma/GED
  • Valid PA State Inspection license of appropriate class or be able to obtain

This shall include analytical urine drug testing and breath testing for alcohol for: reasonable suspicion, random, post-accident, return to duty, and follow-up during the course of employment.
