Encompasses the application of scientific and technological principles concerned with a continuous or periodic system of operations or activities in the production of manufactured products.
Designs and plans layout for such processes as hardening, washing, laminating, etching, engraving, polishing, plating, and other material-processing operations.
Plans sequence of operations and specifies procedures for cutting, shaping, and otherwise preparing basic material, exercising judgment in compromising between conflicting requirements, economic evaluation of methods, and operator effectiveness and comfort.
Conducts tests and measurements throughout stages of production to determine control over such variables as temperature, density, specific gravity, pressure, and viscosity.

Considerable technical and content knowledge of the job. Understands practical applications, able to solve complex problems, full mastery of regular situations encountered.
Independently able to solve the vast majority of problems and ambiguities by examine pertinent facts and evidence.
Seeks direction for issues that cross functional areas and/or have broad impacts.
Works under limited site supervision.
Coordinates other activities beyond routine tasks.
Recommends process improvements, meets or exceeds deadlines, and able to maintain confidentiality and ensure compliance.
Contacts outside of immediate work group are frequent and broad.
May or may not have external contacts.
Contacts may be sensitive in nature.

Tasks and responsibilities that are common to many Process Technician roles are:
• Strictly following health and safety procedures and protocols
• Regular review of the production schedule
• Routine operation of equipment including inspection, cleaning, and maintenance in accordance with operational instructions
• Documentation of routine manufacturing processes
• Reporting of data to senior colleagues
• Close adherence to internal SOPs and external regulations
• Quick and effective diagnosis of routine problems in their process
• Confidence and abilities to troubleshoot problems
• Awareness of when to involve senior staff in more complex problems
• Monitoring any variables within the process and adjusting when required
• Measuring and weighing materials
• Reporting when maintenance or repairs are necessary
• Support start up or shut down of machinery

Minimum Education: AAS Required, Field in the sciences

Experience: 4-5+ Years

PPE: Steel toe shoes and safety glasses

Hours: 8a.m.-5p.m. Monday - Friday
