Senior Windows Support Engineer, will focus on production and non-production technology systems. Automate deploying applications using automation tools, and by scripting using Powershell. Hands-on Windows Systems Administration and Powershell experience. Rotating on-call, project participation, and business continuity support for the Web Portal and Web Services (API) applications. Script alerts to monitor Windows production systems, respond to and troubleshoot escalated incidents. Must have great communication skills, as we periodically interface with clients, vendor and business partners. Familiarity with Linux/Unix a plus.

Essential Job Responsibilities:
• Windows Systems and Powershell scripting support with experience troubleshooting of applications within non-production and production multi-tiered environment
• 24x7 oncall support of applications on a rotating basis, and participate in resolution of escalated incidents
• Create application monitoring scripts and automate alerts using Powershell that can inform of problems in logs files
• Recommend performance and infrastructure capacity improvements within Windows environment
• Point of escalation accountable for diagnosing and resolving customer impacting issues
• Review turnover artifacts to ensure completion prior to executing production installs
• Perform code installations or fallbacks working with release management. Document installation defects and assign severity to the problem that occurs. Work with various teams to determine root cause
• Perform trending and analysis of problems; develop risk mitigation plans for continuous improvement
• Ensure alerts and system events are risk assessed, prioritized, and worked aggressively
• Maintain and/or create technical support documentation

Required Qualifications:
• Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science/Information Systems, or equivalent
• 7+ years of IT experience in a technical production support role with background in Windows Systems Administration and/or Windows development using Java, Powershell, and Basic
• Hands-on knowledge of writing SQL for Oracle or SQLServer
• Solid experience scripting in PowerShell and MSDOS/Microsoft Basic
• Microsoft Desktop Services, Virtual Services
• Experience developing solutions using automation tools such as Ansible, Chef, Puppet, System Center
• Knowledge of ITIL production support best practices
