Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned:
  • Identify, organize, and lead teams to resolve production and product issues.
  • Identify and implement cost savings and safety initiatives.
  • Adapt machine or equipment design to factory and production conditions.
  • Design arrangement of machines within plant facilities to ensure most efficient and productive layout.
  • Define and document manufacturing processes that meet engineering product requirements, quality standards, and safety requirements.
  • Create, modify, and maintain work centers, operations, labor hours, and other ERP elements within ERP System for new and existing products.
  • Use ERP System to query, report, and export information to aid in process definition and analysis. Use spreadsheets / databases to analyze data, track problems and document changes.
  • Reduce cost structures by working with Manufacturing and Supply Chain to improve and reduce labor and material costs.

  • Bachelor of Science in Mechanical, Electrical or Industrial Engineering, Technology or other applicable field of study.
  • 3+ years of experience in Manufacturing Operations, in applicable role such as Manufacturing, Process, or Industrial Engineer.
  • Experience in understanding and interpreting electrical schematics and mechanical drawings; and in using these tools to troubleshoot electro-mechanical assemblies.
  • Experience in lean manufacturing and using lean tools to address problems, including: Root Cause Analysis, 5S, Poke Yoke, and other applicable tools.
  • Strong project execution and teamwork skills. Proven ability to complete tasks and projects on time, and to drive change that improves processes.
  • High level of skill using ERP systems. Must understand BOM structures, routers, where-used, and other fundamental elements of ERP and MRP.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills. Must be able to present project status to senior management, conduct training sessions for manufacturing staff, and document work processes.
Computer / Technical Skills
  • 1+ years as high-level user of ERP system such as Syteline 8, IFS, SAP, Oracle, and Lawson.
  • Strong proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
