Position Summary
Start-up and troubleshoot injection molding presses to safely and efficiently produce quality plastic products. Thoroughly document all procedures in the process log book, weigh parts per control plan, and support other job functions, as needed.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
•            Start up and troubleshoot press processes
•            Weigh parts per control plan
•            Determine break schedules
•            Follow all plant safety guidelines, practices, and procedures
•            Maintain a clean and safe work area
•            Knowledge of robot interactions with mold machine processes
•            Properly use personal protective equipment when required
•            Follow all safety procedures including, lockout tag out
•            Verify proper equipment and materials are in place at startup
•            Must have a high sense of urgency to meet and exceed all production goals
•            Other duties as assigned
Decision Making Authority
•            Stop production if product is defective or safety is an issue
•            Call for product/services as needed
Preferred Qualifications for Hire or Promotion
•            Basic working knowledge of computers
•            Self-motivated, leads by example
•            Must be a team player, capable of working well with others
•            Must be able to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently
•            Ability to work overtime as needed and on short notice
Required Education/Qualifications for Hire or Promotion
•            Injection Molding Experience
•            Must be able to obtain forklift license
•            High School Diploma or GED equivalent, preferred
Work Environment and Physical Demands
•            Good hand-eye coordination
•            Specific vision abilities required by this job may include but not limited to close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception
•            Physically capable of standing, walking, bending, pushing, pulling, reaching, and twisting throughout shift
•            Ability to stand for long periods of time
•            The employee must regularly lift and/or move 40 lbs. and occasionally may maneuver up to 50 lbs.
•            Work in non-climate controlled environment for 8-12 hours a day
