Job Description:
Enhances product workflow by analyzing and developing logistics plans that affect production, distribution, and inventory. Creates and reviews procedures for distribution and inventory management to maximize customer satisfaction and minimize cost. May require an associate's degree or its equivalent with 6-8 years of experience in the field or in a related area. Research and analyze problems in the areas of acquisition, cost, data, and logistics; determines alternatives; and recommends solutions.

The Logistics Specialist will provide and coordinate program acquisition, configuration management, and logistics management planning and coordination support to the customers Integrated Logistics Management Team. Research and analyze problems in the areas of acquisition, cost, data, and logistics; determines alternatives; and recommends solutions. Prepare analytical reports and meeting minutes as required by area manager and/or customer.

Experience with U.S. Army management and logistics programs such as: Mine Resistant Ambush Protected (MRAP), Logistics Support Vessel (LSV), Light/Medium/Heavy Tactical Vehicles preferred. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: The selected applicant should be able to identify and prepare documents to address Diminishing Manufacturing Sources and Material Shortages (DMSMS), Level of Repair Analyses, and component unique information in to a PowerLOG-J database. The ideal candidate should be familiar with FMEA, FMECA, Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM) studies, and Computerized Optimization Model For Predicting and Analyzing Support Structure (COMPASS) processes.

A working knowledge of the Total Force Structure Management System (TFSMS) and writing and submitting Product Quality Deficiency Reports (PQDRs) is desired. A good working knowledge of word processing and integrated software applications, excellent communications skills; both written and verbal are desired.

Logistics background working in logistics support analysis/supportability analysis to include the following disciplines are highly desired: Logistics/Maintenance engineering, working with and developing Maintenance Plans, Provisioning Parts Lists, Maintenance Task Analysis, Life Cycle Management, Maintenance Allocation Charts, Repair Parts and Special Tools Lists, and ETM/IETM development.

Written Communication - The selected applicant should write clearly and informatively. The selected applicant may edit work for spelling and grammar and use varies writing style to meet needs. The selected applicant may present numerical data effectively and should be able to read and interpret written information.

Teamwork - The selected applicant should be able to balance teams and individual responsibilities and exhibit objectivity and openness to others' views. The selected applicant should be able to give and welcome feedback and contribute to building a positive team spirit. The selected applicant should put the success of team above own interests and focus on the teams commitments to goals and objectives. The selected applicant should support everyone's efforts to succeed and be familiar with Adobe Acrobat and Microsoft Suite software.

Employee will be reimbursed for travel expenses at U.S. government rate if directed by supervisor to travel during employment.
