Nesco Resource is searching for a Microsoft Developer to work for a Fostoria, OH company. This employee can be located in or near: Cass County, MI; Roanoke County, VA; Marion County, OH; Macoupin County, IL. The purpose of this position is to develop and maintain internal systems; while providing continuous improvement, consulting and software development activities for corporate ERP systems.
Primary Work Shift:
Monday through Friday 8am to 5pm (Can vary depending on workload)

QUALIFICATIONS: 
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
 
  • Associate’s degree in Information Systems, Business or related preferred; or equivalent work experience
  • A minimum of 3 years application programming or development experience preferred
  • Knowledge with Microsoft SQL Server, the ability to learn X++ and robust C# skills preferred
  • Strong Skills in Microsoft Office including Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Visio and Outlook
  • Well spoken, articulate and courteous verbal, written and phone correspondence
  • Must have exceptional time management and organizational skills

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain customizations to internal systems to increase productivitiy and enhance user experiences.
  • Collaborate with developers and users to identify issues and potential improvements within the system.
  • Manages system solutions into detailed program specifications.
  • Review code deployed by consultants.
  • Write technical specifications based on conceptual design and stated business requirements.
  • Develop auxilary programs and services to connect applications and functions.
  • Maintain and follow organized project schedules.
  • Manage software releases and verifying deployed code compatibility with new software versions.
  • Analyze code to find causes of errors and revise programs as needed.
Language Skills:
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, memos, procedures and plans. Ability to write reports, complete checklists and other basic documentation and correspondence. Ability to effectively present information or data in one-on-one and small group situations to co-workers, supervisors and managers.
Mathematical Skills:
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and improvement areas. Must have ability to work independently and prioritize workflows.
Physical Demands:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to perform various tasks, use of basic office tools, reach with hands/arms, climb, balance, kneel, twist, crouch or crawl and talk or hear. The employee must occassionally lift/move up to 25 pounds. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to conditions that are typical to an office environment.
