DoD Secret - Subject Matter Expert III (SME)

Specific responsibilities include:

•Functioning as a the Satellite Vehicle (SV) expert; supports the system readiness, planning, preparation, execution, and evaluation for satellite launch and early orbit operations, on-orbit operations, and end-of-life retirement/disposal

•Systems engineering over the mission life cycle to include requirements management

•Perform data trending and analysis

•Leadership for short- and long-term investigations, flight hardware configuration changes, flight software configuration changes, ground system changes, seasonal SV and experiment changes, CONOPS changes, etc.

•Prepare procedure updates, briefings, anomaly resolution plans, anomaly closure reports, weekly telecom slides and briefings, experiment on-time event command procedures, planner's schedule, risk mitigation reports, special command builds, ROMs, OPS notices, etc.

•Perform other duties as assigned

Local candidates preferred.

Qualifications
Bachelor's degree and 12 years of related experience. Specific contract requirements regarding education and experience will prevail.

Clearance: Active DoD Secret; TS/SCI strongly desired

ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:

Knowledge and understanding of the Air Force Satellite Control Network (AFSCN)
