Job Summary
The Engineering Manager is responsible for the managerial direction of the department. The main function of this role is to provide supervision and guidance related largely to overall objectives, critical issues, projects, and client relations.
Responsibilities
  • Responsible for successful completion of assigned engineering projects and applies intensive and diversified knowledge of engineering principles and practices to all projects.
  • Makes decisions independently on engineering problems and methods, and represents the company in client conferences to resolve important questions and to plan and coordinate work.
  • Plans, develops, coordinates, and directs the completion of assigned projects.
  • Prepares engineering project proposals.
  • Establishes and maintains primary contact with clients.
  • Prepares schedules to assure projects are on time and within budget projections.
  • Determines technical and professional staffing needs; hires, trains, manages and motivates personnel.
  • Establishes and maintains quality and accuracy standards.
  • Reviews and approves complete plans and supports the Field Services operations associated with installation of our designs.
  • Supports the Finance Department in invoicing for Engineering projects.
  • Supervises Senior Project Engineers and other engineering staff.
  • Works cooperatively with other managers and employees to achieve the company's mission.
  • Oversee engineering staff assigned to satellite offices and directs project work through those offices
  • Work with Field Services management team to define work scope and client relations for Field Services projects

Position Requirements
  • Requires a Master's and Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or related field.
  • 10 or more years experience in engineering, energy, utilities, pipelines, or related field.
  • Professional Engineering Licensure preferred but not required.
