As an Electrical Engineer/Integrator , you will be responsible for developing tooling related to the electronics with a primary focus on Integration to include verification of requirements

The E-Integrator provides expertise to plan and deliver electronic designs through the entire integration process, qualifying all requirements up to the system level.

Experience and Education:
  • 5-7 years of Digital, logic and/or analog design
  • 5+ years of Planning and executing Integration of electronics systems
  • BSEE or MSEE (Preferred)

Qualifications:
The Integration engineer will work with a team of specialists who will be responsible for developing, testing, and supporting electronics boards or sub-systems. The engineer will:
  • Participate actively in design reviews to check if specified functionality is designed and the integration and serviceability requirements are covered
  • Actively drive pre-integration
  • Actively drive testing the specified functionality on machine level
  • Assist and review verification plans of team
  • Influence the design for simple, fast and full integration and diagnostics
  • Define tools, test benches and test rigs and build/assemble and qualify these
  • Design qualification Tools if required for (pre-) integration (including archiving)
  • Execute acceptance tests for all deliverables towards the (pre-) integration
  • Functional behavior and performance tested against their specifications, as documented in the Performance Specification (EPS)

Deliverables
  • System Engineering Documents / Teamcenter archive:
  • Integration Test Plan (ITP)
    • Hardware-Software Interface (HSI) verified
  • Project Evaluation & Review Technique (PERT)
  • Test Performance Specification (TPS)
  • Test Analysis Report (TAR)
  • Issue Investigation Report (IIR) or 8D documentation of integration issues
  • Knowledge Transfer (KT)
  • Schematics/documentation (pre-) integration tooling and workarounds.
  • Deliver input for:
  • Functional Specification Sequence (FSS)
  • Field Change Order (FCO)
  • Element Performance Specification (EPS) Production Qualification tools on architecture level if required
  • Production Tool test procedures
  • Knowledge transfer presentation
  • Provide Team Lead budget for tools, test benches and test rigs

Required Skills:

Test Equipment Design:
  • Development of test equipment and test procedures to test and qualify analog and digital circuit boards or electronics racks
  • Implementation of data acquisition hardware / software

Digital Design - (Knowledge is a plus)
  • Design of digital data acquisition system
  • VHDL embedded code for FPGA logic
  • A/D and or D/A

Analog Design (knowledge is a plus):
  • Low noise analog interface for sensor application; photonics sensors
  • Power amplifier design (motors / actuators)
  • A/D and or D/A

Technical skills:
  • Integrate electronic hardware with system software
  • Qualify requirements through Validating and Verification process.
  • Track Test Coverage from component to system level qualification.
  • Analytical and pragmatic approach to troubleshooting
  • Flexibility: Easily adapts plans and ways of working with available machine test-time
  • Able to break down machine issues to the mono-discipline level
  • Design Knowledge (Electrical-layout, PCB design, analog/power board design, SW & VHDL)
  • Hardware Software Interface knowledge
  • Environmental conditions:
    • Temperature & dissipation requirements
    • Shock & vibration requirements
  • Shielding, EMC & grounding concepts
  • Safety regulations (e.g. NFPA/IPxx/CB reports)
  • Multidisciplinary knowledge:
    • Mechanics (e.g. volume claims, cable lifetime).
    • Mechatronics (e.g. servo control, stiffness of cables & PCA's)
    • Optics (e.g. illumination, lasers)

SOFTWARE:
  • C, C++, C#, Python, Perl

  • Electronic Design Automation – Mentor Graphics xDX/xPCB Designer, PSpice, OrCAD, PADs or similar
