PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES: Maintains all machines and equipment to proper working order and performs engineering changes and PM's on all dies. Will work independently on projects and make recommendations for component or die designs or changes and equipment/machine repairs or alterations to improve effectiveness or efficiency. Assists Production with thorough communication concerning Tool & Die problems or issues.Contributes to the team effort by accomplishing results with accuracy and timeliness.

SECONDARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
May be called upon to assist in other duties as needed to insure quality level of facility activities. Responsible for all customer specific requirements where applicable, including those referenced in the QMS manuals.

AUTHORITY: Have the authority to stop production and report quality problems as necessary. Report all unsafe work situations to supervisor/manager.

ACCOUNTABILITY: Provide quality parts for all machines at the direction of the Tooling Manager. Authority to represent the needs of the customer in internal functions in addressing TS 16949/1SO 14001 requirements (ex. Selection of special characteristics, setting quality objectives, training, corrective & preventative actions, product design and development). Adhering to all safety procedures.

RELATIONSHIPS: Associates must be able to clearly communicate with all personnel in facility.

WORK CONDITIONS: Entire plant facility. Must wear proper PPE, (ex. safety glasses, hearing protection, face shields, welding protection, etc.).

EDUCATION, TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: Must have High School Diploma or equivalent, minimum of 8 years Tool & Die Maker Experience, completion of a Certified Tool & Die Specialist Program/Apprenticeship or equivalent. Must be able to operate all of the various types of machinery in the Tool & Die Department. This position requires the ability to lift at least 50 pounds, stand and walk 100% of the time, bend, twist, squat, kneel, (ex. what ever position it takes to get the job completed).
