The Production Manager directs, supervises, and coordinates activities of workers of the factory production area engaged in assembly and manufacturing of personal care products. The Production Manager must plan production operations for product lines to ensure production and quality of products meet deadlines and specifications.

  • Plan production operations, establishing priorities and sequences for manufacturing products, utilizing knowledge of production processes and methods, machine and equipment capabilities and human resource requirements
  • Responsible for material usage review, component reconciliation and scrap loss minimization
  • Manages safety efforts, reporting and cleanliness programs
  • Evaluates employees performance on a timely basis and recommends personnel actions, such as promotions, transfer, discharge, or disciplinary measures
  • Forecast review and develops capacity model for equipment/personnel resources
  • Evaluate Client levels, focusing on machine capacities with maximum efficiency of employee strengths
  • Develops cost savings initiatives, recommends capital spend projects for process improvement
  • Conducts plant tours and customer visit planning
  • Works with Packaging Maintenance for manufacturing planning and strategic initiatives
  • Informs and maintains constant communication with supervisory and management personnel concerning quality issues related to manufacturing operations, deviations occurring from existing standards, deficiencies and accomplish cost reductions and company goals
  • Administer and communicate corporate policy and procedures to employees and agencies
  • Review and manage department schedule in order to meet customer demand
  • Respond to and review customer complaints w/employees
  • Monitor departmental KPIs and make adjustments where needed
  • Manage new product launch startups
  • Perform other duties as needed or assigned

  • BS or BA in Business Administration, Supply Chain, Engineer or related field.
  • 5 years of experience as a supervisory Production/Operations Manager in a manufacturing plant environment
  • Proficiency in automated systems of production planning, purchasing, warehousing, and logistics as well as operational execution
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, advanced in Excel
  • Able to lead and motivate teams to high performance in a fast-paced, goal-oriented environment
  • Experience with cGMP procedures and knowledge of safety, OSHA regulations
  • Demonstrate safe behavior and support department/plant Safety goals in a continuous improvement process
