SUMMARY
Directs, supervises, and coordinates activities of compounders that perform chemical processing and batch mixing for the creation of bulk material needed for production. Plans department operations to ensure production and quality of products meet deadlines and specifications. All processing is performed in compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), Quality Systems Regulations, Standard Operating Procedures (SOP's) and Health and Safety requirements.

All processing is performed in compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), Quality Systems Regulations, Standard Operating Procedures (SOP's) and Health and Safety requirements.
DESIRED MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required for his position.
  • Education: A Bachelor Degree in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry or other Engineering discipline preferred (willing to consider combination of education and 10+ years blending operations or batch processing experience in lieu of degree)
  • Certifications: None
  • Experience:
  • A minimum of 5 years supervisory experience of compounding or chemical processing operations in a manufacturing plant environment
  • Experience in over the counter / personal care / or pharmaceutical environment a preference
  • Good understanding of KPI's and metrics
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Able to lead and motivate teams to high performance in a fast-paced, goal-oriented environment
  • Experience with cGMP procedures and knowledge of safety, OSHA regulations
  • Demonstrate safe behavior and support department/plant Safety goals in a continuous improvement process.
