Continuous Improvement Engineer will be part of a newly built team and help to develop, implement and establish a lean enterprise model across the company!

Continuous Improvement Engineer will:
  • Define the transactional and manufacturing lean strategy and implement these processes with the ultimate goal of building a Lean Business System
  • Management of individual projects
  • To develop and focus specifically for the first 18 months on the significant development of key programs like 5s, SQDC and shop floor management.
  • Using practical and strategic tools to develop and improve flow and lead-time.
  • Unify continuous improvement processes; standardize work processes using LEAN, Kaizen workshop facilitation & Value stream projects to drive business impact and sustainability.
  • Develop and maintain excellent inter relationships with both stakeholders and employee to create "buy-in” throughout the organization and develop communication channels in order to underpin strategic lean goals
  • To take a "hands on” approach to the work including planning, production, control, monitoring and action tracking in the area of responsibility (capacity, deadlines, personnel, area / area, operating resources, overhead costs and investments.

Education and Experience
  • A Bachelor's degree in Engineering with 5 plus years in manufacturing lean experience and relevant lean qualifications.
  • Background in Operational Excellence leading Lean Transformations in industrial manufacturing and Continuous Improvement methods.
  • Experienced at educating and inspiring others on Lean principles, Kaizen preferred.
  • Experience with value stream mapping and process improvement.
  • Results oriented and willing to meet challenging goals in a turnaround environment as well as in a steady-state scenario.
  • Must have thorough understanding of cycle time reduction, waste reduction, yield improvement, productivity and throughput improvement - for operational and transactional processes.
  • Experience with large ERP systems, SAP preferred
  • KPI goal setting with the site Management teams
  • Must be able to travel domestically up to once a month and internationally once a year
