Looking for a communications technician in the Los Angeles/San Fernando Valley, CA area.
Job assignment is pulling and terminating cable, installing phones, activating network ports, installing/replacing core network devices and troubleshooting various network devices.

As you know we are a 24x7x365 MSV for Client and often have night and weekend work. We are working very hard to eliminate OT from our field techs but there are situations where OT is available.

5-7 years experience and as far as certs go CommScope copper and fiber would be preferred but would not rule anyone out if they didn’t have.

3) Must have driver's license and MVR check must be completed

Summary: The main function of a Telecom Line Installer/Repairer is to string and repair telephone and television cable, including fiber optics and other equipment for transmitting messages or television programming. Job Responsibilities: Travel to customers¿ premises to install, maintain and repair audio and visual electronic reception equipment and accessories Inspect and test lines and cables, recording and analyzing test results, to assess transmission characteristics and locate faults and malfunctions Splice cables, using hand tools, epoxy, or mechanical equipment Measure signal strength at utility poles, using electronic test equipment Set up service for customers, installing, connecting, testing and adjusting equipment Place insulation over conductors and seal splices with moisture-proof covering Install equipment such as amplifiers and repeaters in order to maintain the strength of communications transmissionsQualifications: Must have valid CA drivers license, reliable transportation, High school diploma or GED required 5-7 years experience required Past work experience in a similar role Verbal and written communication skills, problem solving skills, customer service and interpersonal skills Basic ability to work independently and manage one¿s time Basic knowledge of transmission, broadcasting, switching, control, and operation of telecommunications systems Basic knowledge of the practical application of engineering science and technology
