Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Review, evaluate, draft and negotiate Federal, state, local, and tribal government/public contracting including representations and certifications and communicate contract administration and compliance responsibilities to corporate and divisional managers.
  • Review complete package of bid and/or contract award documents and work with functional owners to accept or negotiate acceptable terms as required and/or obtain internal approvals.
  • Possess a working knowledge of the legal, financial, regulatory and business risk in sales order, contract and subcontract terms and conditions and communicates these exposures effectively and efficiently to company decision makers, when necessary.
  • Comfortable negotiating and proposing alternative applicable terms (FARs, flow-downs, etc.) to finalize agreements directly with customer personnel and attorneys.
  • Works with product line teams and import/export teams to ensure compliance with trade agreement requirements, such as Buy America Act and Trade Agreement Act compliance.
  • Interface with various groups like sales, order management, legal, finance, etc. and across the entire Client organization to determine acceptability and compliance with contract requirements.
  • Familiar with GSA order processing and contract compliance framework such as most favored customer price management, IFF reporting process and contract administration.

Minimum Education and Experience Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in business or legal related fieldMinimum five (5) to seven (7) years' experience in government contracting and contracts negotiation as supplier to public agencies.
  • Good judgment in balancing business and commercial needs and potential risks/exposures with customer requests.
  • Detail oriented with a high degree of integrity, intensity and involvement
  • Demonstrated ability to work within tight schedules and under pressure, both independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication skills both written and oralProficient with Microsoft Office; familiarity with SAP is helpful
