Our client is seeking a Supply Chain Project Manager in the Akron/Canton area.  This is a direct placement/permanent opportunity and is onsite only.


Reviews, analyzes, and evaluates user needs to create systems solutions that support overall business strategies. Documents system requirements, defines scope and objectives, and creates system specifications that drive system development and implementation.

Job Description:
  • Candidate with a business systems background - has implemented OR has done configuration.
  • SAP experience is required; knowledgeable with implementing SAP modules – TM and PM would be a plus
  • Responsible to provide project management, functional specification development, user requirements, test planning, organize training, develop and maintain budgets and schedules
  • Project Management and leadership of teams
  • Organizing data flow and its tie into the physical processes
  • Warehouse management, EHS, transportation, production schedule
  • Communication across all departments
  • Develops plan and identifies capital and resources necessary to implement Supply Chain systems.
  • Evaluates Supply Chain information systems capabilities to enhance information collection processes and decision support capability.
  • Lead high-priority cross-functional project teams.
  • Develop and maintain project plans and project documentation.
  • Communicate status, issues, and resolutions.
  • Leads business users through business process to sponsors
  • Identify and designs future state value chain (i.e. suppliers) interfaces to collaborate with key partners. (vendor or customer portals)
  • Manage projects to completion including the coordination of multiple technical disciplines.
  • Practice project management skills during all phases of a project from conception to completion.
  • Work with outside contractors to identify, design, and install systems and processes that meet or support Supply Chain initiatives.
  • Engage with systems vendors on an ongoing basis to plan system updates, and participates in user forums and training when applicable.
  • Provides technical advice, training and mentoring.
