Main Job Responsibilities:
  • Manufactures particles, controls, buffers, calibrators, and conjugates using cGMP
  • Employ polymer synthesis technologies to produce spherical particles of desired size ranges.
  • Use size purification and separation techniques to make spherical materials manufactured to meet specifications.
  • Acts independently to determine methods and procedures on new assignments
  • Will perform troubleshooting and manage product issues
  • Interface with other departments as needed to ensure product is delivered on-time
  • Performs analytical and functional testing of products.
  • Maintains and analyzes lot histories for trends and discrepancies
  • May write, review, and modify SOPs for PCO/DCO's as needed
  • Investigate and resolve NCARs/CAPA
  • Conduct manufacturing accounting/work order transactions as needed
  • Keeps department lead or supervisors and managers updated on all issues.
  • Actively supports continuous improvement efforts, PPI, Lean, and 5-S programs.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:
  • BS/BA in scientific discipline (i.e. chemistry/biochemistry) with 0-2 year's related experience and/or training preferred.
  • Experience in particle/polymer science is a plus.
  • Must have excellent math and working knowledge of the metric system (weights & volumes).
  • Proficient in computer applications (including Microsoft Word and Excel).
  • Ability to demonstrate technical proficiency and troubleshooting/problem solving skills
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to react appropriately to changing priorities and impending deadlines
  • Ability to work and communicate effectively with team members at all organizational levels.
  • Ability to follow written and oral instructions.
  • Ability to work well with others and efficiently through short lead times when needed.
  • Demonstrated good safety and quality practices.
  • Experienced in working with potentially hazardous chemicals preferred.
