JOB SUMMARY: The painter will work as part of a team to ensure parts are prepped, painted and checked to customer specifications in a safe, efficient and timely manner.

MANDATORY REQUIREMENTS:
· 1 year of painting experience in a manufacturing operation. Paints surfaces using spray guns, brushes, rollers and other paint processes.

· Prepares equipment and parts for the painting process (including masking/taping, shot blasting, cleaning, etc).

PREFERRED BUT NOT REQUIRED:
· Background in auto body / automotive repair very helpful.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
· Paints surfaces using spray guns, brushes, rollers and other paint processes.
· Prepares equipment and parts for the painting process (including masking/taping, shot blasting, cleaning, etc).
· Responsible for maintaining all related equipment used for painting in good working condition.
· Perform a variety of duties to spray paint products or parts following established methods and procedures.
· Clean spray guns, brushes, rollers, flushes hoses, cleans booths and accessory equipment.
· Operates a variety of overhead lifting devices.
· At times will be required to operate a variety of mobile industrial equipment (gas, diesel and electric), including fork lifts and/or tuggers.
· Actively participates in process improvement activities (safety, quality and productivity).
· Keeps work area clean, free from safety hazards and follow all applicable safety rules.
· Works as a team member and co-operates with co-workers.
· Performs other duties as assigned.

· Rotation to various positions within the job function area to perform related activities.
· Must be able to work in a highly structured environment, strictly adhering to provided standard work instructions.
· Able to wear all required PPE.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:
· High School diploma (or GED)
· 1 year of painting experience in a manufacturing operation
