• Proven experience supporting SQL server 2000/2005/2008 • Demonstrated experience in troubleshooting and resolving database problems. • Ability to administer SQL servers in a Microsoft Clustered environment. • Knowledge and/or experience working with both SQL Server Merge and Transactional Replication. • Familiarity with Business Intelligence Development Studio (BIDS) and Integration Services (SSIS). • Experience with Redgate's " SQL Compare” and "Data Compare” a plus. • Ability to work independently, as well as collaboratively with other staff members, to complete short and long-term projects • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. • 2-3 years of related experience. 

We are currently looking for a Junior SQL Database Administrator to work at our Corporate Headquarters located in Bohemia, NY. The successful candidate will be responsible for the administration of over 30 Microsoft SQL Server production environments in addition to supporting multiple Dev, QA, and Staging SQL environments. • Coordinate all vendor management tasks inclusive of working with external vendors and internal employees. • Install and configure new SQL servers following best practices to maximize performance, security, and stability. • Work with various development teams to deploy database code changes to multiple Test, Staging, and Production environments. • Use SQL Agent to automate daily SQL processes including maintenance jobs, backups, and alerts. • Test, troubleshoot, and deploy Integration Services (SSIS) packages using Business Intelligence Development Studio (BIDS). • Configure and monitor SQL Replication for various production environments. • Respond to SQL alerts and job failures. • Use SQL Profiler and Perfmon to help diagnose database connectivity and performance problems • Promptly respond to helpdesk tickets to support user access and/or requests. • Apply and install SQL related patches on all environments. • Periodically perform database refreshes of non-production environments with production data.
