Investment Management (MIM) Technology Division has an opportunity for a Regional Operations Technology Platform Manager with strong business acumen to join the growing team in center-city Philadelphia.
This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate leader to be involved in transformational business changes, by delivering transformational technology changes.
The successful candidate will lead the local Americas team, working with the global platform team to partner with our business to provide a market leading Operations capability to MIM globally, while developing and supporting a world class Technology platform.
Key Roles and Responsibilities:
  • Work with the Global Operations Technology Platform Manager to develop and implement the platform strategy
  • Manage technology relationship with senior stakeholders in the Americas Operations platform team. Partner with them to identify, prioritise and schedule up-coming technology change demand
  • Manage and lead a team of developers and business analysts who will work with their global counterparts to provide end-to-end design, delivery and maintenance of applications and solutions
  • Play an active governance role on projects to ensure timely and quality delivery. Ensure that the changes delivered to the platform allow it to be effectively managed in the future
  • Develop and manage the portfolio of work carried out by the regional platform team. Ensuring that resourcing requirements are effectively managed
  • Take a leading role in defining and rolling out processes to our global team
  • Collaborate with Technology teams in the broader organization to deliver and service the MIM Operations teams
  • Manage the platform in line with the bank's policies to ensure technology risks are understood, communicated, and effectively mitigated
  • Effectively communicate platform related changes, risks and issues to ensure all applicable stakeholders are engaged
Required Skills:
  • Entrepreneurial, highly motivated and self-directed with a bias to yes attitude
  • Asset Management Operations industry domain knowledge
  • Demonstrated knowledge and hands-on experience with Asset Management solutions such as SimCorp Dimension, MarkitEDM and Bloomberg AIM, Charles River, BlackRock Aladdin, etc
  • Ability to work collaboratively with both a regional and global distributed team
  • Proven track record in leading a high-performing delivery team
  • Strong stakeholder management skills, especially with senior business, IT, and vendor stakeholders
  • Ability to build successful business relationships and manage stakeholders effectively
  • Experience in program and delivery management, including budgets and forecasts
  • End-to-end understanding and practical working experience of the software delivery life cycle, from requirements gathering and solution design to successful implementation.
  • Proven ability to make the right decisions and successfully drive delivery within budget and timelines
  • Ability to articulate complex technical problems and their solutions to a business audience
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • People management & leadership experience
  • Ability to collaborate across global teams, managing timezones effectively
  • B.S in Computer Science or related field
