If you are passionate about distributed systems, cloud computing, and working with bleeding-edge Open Source projects; love working on on high-volume/low-latency services, infrastructure automation, and many other mission-critical components then this may be the role for you. You'd be working closely with the CTO and the development team to support our production GCP infrastructure, develop new infrastructure and detect, diagnose and help solve performance issues in applications, networks and containers. You will be an instrumental member of a small and dynamic team with the freedom to be productive on a daily basis using your systems and programming skills. We're a small but mighty team and you'll be responsible for leading the entire production and development infrastructure.
Your responsibilities:
  • Work with high-volume, high-availability distributed systems, keeping them fault-tolerant, fast and secure.
  • Manage Build/Deploy pipelines, continuously improving developer experience with fast builds and quick (canary) deployments
  • Design and develop libraries and frameworks to create, manage, and monitor distributed systems and services.
  • You will set up, maintain, debug and optimize different data stores
  • You will write lots of software too, always striving for the highest level of automatization and sharpening your engineering skills
  • You will be available to share pager duty for the rare instances of something serious happening
Qualifications
  • You're a smart person with a desire to ship products
  • You have 5 or more years of systems engineering experience and mastery of networking fundamentals
  • You have a mastery of Linux and ecosystem from bootloader to hypervisor and are at home on the command line
  • You have experience working within distributed cloud services like AWS and GCP
  • Experience in data structures and primitives of distributed systems; SQL and NoSQL
  • Experience with container technologies like Kubernetes / Docker
Extra Credit if you have experience working with telephony-based systems, IVR and/or VoIP/SIP
