The IT Information Security Officer reports to the IT Director. The primary function of this position is to establish, administer and manage an information security programs, cyber security systems, policies and procedures and advise senior management regarding risks to the Town due to implementation of technology used to operate the Town. Given the nature of our small team, we're looking for someone who can design and manage the program and is not afraid to roll up their sleeves and get to work.

You actively participate as a member of a team to move the team toward the completion of goals and produce quality outcomes. • Bachelor degree in Information Technology or Business Information Systems. Masters degree in technology or business is desired.
• Seven years of experience working in the Information Technology industry.
• Two years of experience working in a regulatory environment.
• Information technology terminology, practices and procedures
• Network administration principles and practices
• Working knowledge of mainstream regulatory requirements (PCI, PII, HIPAA, etc.)
• Working knowledge of cybersecurity program components
• CISSP is highly desirable.
• Formal education in cybersecurity is highly desirable
• Ability to manage projects and lead through influence
