Technician I - Responsible to provide network support to customers and employees. Most of staging work will be conducted off site in a staging facility. This position will handle complex inquires and configurations for the following technologies; routing, switching, security, Voice-Over-IP (VOIP) and wireless access with minimum assistance from higher level engineers.
The level of concentration or priority of their focus will be determined by the needs of the business and their level of understanding of the concepts required to install, configure, operate and troubleshoot small to medium sized implementations of the fields of technology. Much of the job will deal with equipment manufactured by Client and Ruckus. Responsible to assist, via phone, customers or employees regarding moderately complex issues for routing, switching, security, Voice-Over-IP (VOIP) and wireless access. Occasionally provide on-site network support.
Install Support, Staging / Configuration, or Remote support of CPE equipment. Properly document actions taken. Interface directly with vendors and network engineering teams and leadership install issues.
Assist with the installation of equipment at customer sites. Perform software upgrades as needed Build and load configurations on hardware. Provide guidance to Technician's, assisting them with escalations and mentor them on products and service. Provide assistance to all members of the team as needed. Maintain a positive relationship with our Vendors and the ISG Engineering Team. Provide assistance to other engineers and share information freely with all team members.
Special Requirements/ Certifications:
Ethernet, IPSEC, VPN, Cisco, Client, Ruckus, and Nomadix CPE. VOIP, MPLS, BGP, IP, and other associated protocols
Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Visio & SharePoint
Minimum Requirements: (Not Editable)
Associate Degree in a technical discipline and 5-7 years technical experience with 5+ years directly related to the job; or 8+ years of directly related or network operations experience and/or an equivalent combination of education and directly related experience required.

• Bachelor's Degree, Associates Degree, vocational, or technical training in networking, data technology, or a related technical field.
• 3+ years of work experience in a Network Operations monitoring and/or service of hospitality customers, and CPE networking equipment.
Strong verbal/interpersonal skills to effectively deal with escalated Enterprise customers. Must have ability to adjust communication to match customer, low level technical for non-technical customers and high level technical when engaged with highly technical customers or customers highly technical IT staff.
