Duration: 12 months (Possibility to go past duration or even perm)
  • These 3 positions are backfills for 3 people who are going at a time on their maternity leave.
  • They have a lot of consolidations pending so these positions can go longer than 12 months or even perm.
  • This person handles a lot of General Ledger Accounting - Marketing and revenue
  • Top 3 skills would be - Month end closure, Process Improvement, and Accounting Background.
  • Strong with Excel
  • Oracle or Hyperion experience is plus

The Senior Accountant will provide excellent accounting services to Global Business Services Center. The candidate will be responsible for delivering timely and accurate accounting services to our Client Worldwide business unit(s) including the financial month-end close process.

  • Accomplish timely, accurate close of the general ledger in accordance with U.S. GAAP including preparation and review of general ledger journal entries to support various business units, regions and/or corporate controller's group
  • Analyze results of monthly trends, year-over-year and actual to budget/forecast to discuss with finance business partners for completeness
  • Prepare and review various balance sheet account reconciliations
  • Perform detailed account analyses; investigate and resolve complex issues
  • Provides overall support and customer service to business partners located throughout the Client Worldwide organization
  • Recommend, develop and implement process improvements to improve accounting operational efficiency, quality of output and optimize synergies
  • Monitors performance indicators to track progress against goals
  • Performs various ad-hoc reporting, analysis or projects, as needed

All About You:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
CPA preferred

  • Progressive accounting experience preferably in a large, global environment
  • Well-developed knowledge of U.S. GAAP and current accounting concepts
  • Ability to deliver accurate results in a fast-paced environment with attention to deadline constraints
  • Robust understanding of financial/ERP systems, preferably direct experience with Oracle
  • Prior experience in significant process improvements projects
  • Organize and prioritize multiple activities among a team with a high sense of urgency
  • Customer service oriented with the ability to communicate effectively and develop solid working relationships across multiple levels and organization boundaries
  • Capable of working within a changing environment with excellent analytical, planning and organization skills
