ERP Data Policy, Quality, and Training Lead

Working for a global, pharmaceutical company, the ERP Data Governance Lead will be responsible for designing and implementing One Shire global master data governance model with appropriate structure, processes, procedures, policies, data definitions, data standards, data architecture, data dictionary, training strategy with training material documents, business performance relevant data quality metrics, data archiving and data life cycle management. This role will be accountable and responsible for collaborating with IT architecture, global information platform team, and business owners to identify, evaluate, select, implement, and manage global MDG (Master Data Governance) and MDM (Master Data Management) systems infrastructure for a hybrid approach of managing business data creation/maintenance demand and carry on a systematic data governance model. Operating in a matrix setup, this individual will be required to collaborate with multiple business function leaders, internal / external vendors, and IT functions to establish a system driven / managed scalable and cost effective MDG / MDM processes. The data scope includes ERP (both SAP and JDE) data for RTR (Record-To-Report), OTC (Order-To-Cash), and PTM (Plan-To-Make) end-to-end business processes globally. The system scope includes multiple ERP systems of SAP / JDE / C3ME, data federation and integration to planning tools (SAP-APO, KINAXIS), SAP-BW / BI / BA, and SAP-SNC (Supplier Network Collaboration) and all peripheral systems / applications that interface / integrate with ERP systems for data consumption. The main objectives of data governance process and model should be to ensure data accuracy, compliance, scalability, agility, and timeliness of availability at the point of data consumption with focus on speed-to-value.
This role will lead the effort to strategize, design and implement harmonized and lean process for efficient management of 'creation / maintenance' of master data in these systems environment driven by automated workflows, facilitating creation of data templates, implementing SOP for data maintenance, and training key stakeholders in data management process.
Working in a matrix organization, the successful candidate will be both a leader equally comfortable in working with senior leaders, peer managers, and super users (of both business and Information Technology) to build next generation business process capabilities aligned with company strategy.
This role is responsible for leading efforts to design and establish a scalable data quality assessment infrastructure including business relevant data quality metrics, measurement methods, cadence, data sources, extraction methods / interfaces for data, business rules engine for defining quality parameters, and managing a data quality measurement process with right responsibilities / ownership, data quality reporting, recommend corrective actions for improving data quality, and ensure a compliant / timely availability of accurate data for business operations.
This role / position will report into the Head of IT ERP Data Governance who reports into Head of IT ERP OTC / RTR Platform – Corporate Functions and Enterprise Platforms.
