Description:

The Network Architect will provide guidance and oversight within the IT organization in developing and testing initiatives that improve overall network and system security in a dynamic and growing global environment.
This position is responsible for ensuring that all current and new systems adhere to Global IT Network Standards, company policies and procedures. Ensure IT Infrastructure team is in compliance with current standards necessary to guarantee secure processing of data and overall Global Network. The Global Network Architect will work in liaison with Regional Infrastructure and engage with IT Security as required, to assure business needs are addressed.
This is a key role in leading organizational efficiencies for proper network and systems both on-prem and cloud.
Key responsibilities
  • Perform -based risk assessments, and design new infrastructure solutions as a company expands or replaces its network architecture on both on-prem and cloud providers.
  • Responsible for global design and implementation of global network solutions both hardware and software based. Enforcing the network standards to align to security policy and complying with requirements of external security audits and recommendations
  • Involved in reviewing, selecting, testing, configuration, and POC deployments of various network and security-related hardware and software products.
  • Lead and participate in the design, development, implementation, and support of global infrastructure solutions including but not limited to global WAN, Cloud, On-prem and Regional initiatives.
  • Provides regional network teams with opportunities of possible integration for new innovations, project designs, and standards development.
  • Identifies and helps influence global platform strategic direction in coordination with business users' needs and direction.
  • Provides input and direction on voice and Video integration from O365 to on-prem devices globally.

Skills
  • Solid working knowledge with security tools such as Intrusion Presentation, Network & Application Firewalls, Web Proxy, Logging & Monitoring
  • Solid knowledge of core Datacenter infrastructure such as (Network Switches, routers, firewalls, Unified Compute, Storage, Load balancers, Fabric switches)
  • Experience with Network Access Control Solutions and Wireless Segmentation & Security
  • Experience designing/architecting a global network infrastructure with a focus on AWS, Azure, MPLS and Migrations.
  • Experience in architecting high availability and disaster recovery within a multi-tenant platform (AWS, Azure).
  • Experience with designing, managing and supporting large complex geo dispersed network environments.
  • Advanced knowledge Network Perimeter security utilizing Palo Alto and/or Cisco firewalls
  • Several years of experience with Network Infrastructure/Network security/Compliance
  • Ability to engage and influence team members as well as people external to the team
  • Excellent Oral and Written Communications Skills and the ability to present a complex topic to a non-technical audience. A clear vision of work required within the domain and the ability to quickly and concisely detail vision and requirements

Experience
Key personal characteristics and competencies of the ideal candidate
  • At least 5 years of proven experience with large global enterprise networks performing in an Architecture and Design role and network security architecture.
  • At least 5 years of proven hands-on experience with Firewall Architecture and Design
  • At least 3 years of progressive IT experience in a highly competitive, large corporate organization with solid knowledge of Information Security, Systems Operations and Data Center support
  • At Least 3 years of experience in all technical aspects of Network Security Engineering
  • At Least 3 years of experience in Technical Leadership of medium to large IT projects
Preferred Education & Training
  • Required Bachelor ´s Degree in Information Systems, Computer Science or related subjects.
  • Vendor Certifications Cisco, Palo Alto, F5, AWS, Azure, EMC
