Job Roles and Responsibilities

  • As a QA, understands all the process, approach and methodology of testing Has the experience working on financial systems that are a part of a larger application.
  • A commitment to collaborative problem solving and quality product is essential. Understands and has worked closely with the LOB to understand their requirements and test the reports.

Responsibilities
  • Proactively communicate with the project team on defects, issues and report the QA status to all the stakeholders on a regular basis
  • Develop and implement automated test scripts
  • Work in Agile/Scrum environment
  • Prioritize testing efforts in collaboration with project stakeholders

Qualifications
  • Excels at the responsibilities of a Quality Engineer
  • Extensive experience in report testing and WebFocus report testing is an advantage.
  • Identify bottlenecks and defects, and devise solutions to mitigate and address these issues
  • Analyzes, troubleshoots, diagnoses, and/or provides guidance or expertise in resolution of defects or bugs in the software. Known as an expert in defect resolution in area of expertise
  • Reviews appropriate documentation such as implementation manuals, support manuals/playbooks, performance testing guidelines, etc. as needed to run/support the software
  • Need to have the strong experience onsite / offshore co-ordination
  • Strong experience on onsite customer and project management
  • Bachelor's Degree or appropriate experience
  • Preferred majors are Engineering, Computer Science/Engineering, Information Systems/Decision Sciences, Mathematics, Sciences, or other STEM related majors
  • Minimum 5-6 years' experience in requirement analysis and software testing of equivalent experience
  • Researches to understand problem space and determines appropriate solution to address the problem
  • Banking domain would be added advantage
  • Ability to influence team members across organizational boundaries
  • Successful in a multi-site global development environment
  • Ability to make effective decisions and can manage change
  • Communicates effectively in a professional manner both written and orally
  • Team player with a positive attitude enthusiasm, initiative and self-motivation.
