Desktop/Service Desk Technician

Brief Job Description: Service desk support in a primarily Windows 7 and Office 2013 environment. We have a mix of virtual desktops (85) and physical desktops, working in a Windows network environment. We support all operational aspects of end user technology (including applications), as well as several infrastructure components.

Qualifications and experience REQUIRED: VERY strong customer service and communication skills. Must be responsible, organized and able to self-direct under with minimal guidance. Must be proficient with following written instructions (and completing check-lists, updating electronic records, work order tickets, etc.).






Projects and functions to be performed: Desktop / Service Technician. Desktop imaging and deployment: end to end including working directly with end-users to migrate settings, install custom applications and ensure desktop is fully functional. Replacement of approximately 200 end-of-life VoIP phones, including initial phone configuration, installation, testing. Equipment surplus: follow defined process to prepare for and conduct large IT equipment surplus.
