Job Description: Title Assistant Level III - Position Summary
The Title Assistant is responsible for assisting the Title Examiners in the production of title products, inclusive of setting up new orders, ordering and sending out tax certificates, and assisting in product revisions. The Title Assistant is also responsible for helping internal and external customers/clients in the maintenance of those products.
The Relief Title Assistant will offer relief support to existing Title Operation units. The candidate will have computer aptitude, recent industry experience, demonstrated ability to perform under pressure and basic familiarity with preliminary reports, policies and endorsements within title and escrow. In addition, the incumbent must show comfort floating to multiple title units and working within an team oriented environment.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
• Gathering research for Title Officers as needed
• Abstracting and drafting payoff demands
• Preparing endorsements and supplemental reports
• Production typing and file preparation
• Handling high volume phone calls and emails
• Abstracting documents for recording
• Drafting invoices and completing rate calculations
• General administrative duties: Copying, filing, scanning documents, etc.
• Other duties as assigned

Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

• High School Diploma or GED
• 2 years+ of Title Industry experience
• Able to work independently as well as part of a team
• Strong attention to detail and quality driven
• Ability to anticipate issues affecting title, making judgments and seek technical guidance
• Knowledge of maps and legal descriptions a plus
• Must be able to work overtime, including evenings and weekends
