Linium's client in Bloomfield, CT has an immediate opening for an experienced Assembly Technician.  This is a temp to hire, first shift position.

Reports to:
Production Manager
Basic Description:
Complete and test assemblies based on generated work orders.  Assemblies may be hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical and/or mechanical in nature.
  1. Check all work orders, work instructions and job files to ensure jobs are sent out on time and are correct.
  2. Assemble jobs which may include layouts, painting, fabrication, drilling, tapping, cutting, punching out boxes, securing components, and wiring assemblies.
  3. Inspect and test all jobs to ensure all components are functioning correctly. 
  4. Create necessary documentation for each job, including taking photographs of job and filing all paperwork.
  5. Prepare Hydraulic Power Units for shipment by placing on pallet, bolting securely and building a crate if needed.
  6. Notify warehouse manager of tools and supplies that need to be placed on ordered.
  7. Assist walk-in customers with hose assemblies. 
  8. Keep work area clean and safe.
  9. Able to work independently on project work.
  10. Daily compliance with ISO policies and procedures.
  11. Operate Company vehicle to make deliveries when needed.
  12. Performs other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent preferred with working knowledge of
ISO 9001: 2008 working environment.
  • Must have basic math and measuring skills.
  • Must have experience with hand tools and power tools.
  • Must be able to read, write and speak English.
  • Computer knowledge is a must.
Physical Requirements:
  • Lifting required of up to 70lbs unassisted and over 70lbs with lifting aides.
  • Continuous assembling of parts and reaching/working overhead
  • Frequently stands, walks, sits, climbs, pushes, pulls, and carries items.
  • Work environment subject to seasonal temperature variations.
  • Have the dexterity to assemble complex and precision components.
